About Me
I am Devesh Giri, a BS-MS graduate from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, India. I did my master's thesis on Gravitational Wave Astrophysics as a Visiting Student at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Mumbai in the research group of Dr. Suvodip Mukherjee. Currently, I am a visiting student at IUCAA, Pune. I am interested in a spectrum of things, including Physics, Philosophy, Music and Literature.
I take formal training in Mathematics and Physics at IISER-Pune. I am an ardent follower of Hindustani Sangeet. Besides science and music, I spend a lot of time reading in and around the domains of politics, philosophy, and logic. I write and love Hindi-Urdu poetry.
In the formal domain, I work on problems broadly related to Gravitational Wave Astrophysics and Cosmology. Besides science research, I am highly passionate about promoting awareness about science and analyzing science pedagogy.
